The Valarie necklace is a large oval of Indonesian Opal Wood Replacement … what is IOWR you say…. well visualize the images of all the trees that were blasted by Mount St. Helens.. All the tree trees that lay sideways are covered up with ash and dirt over the years. And over those years the rainwater percolates through the dirt and ash. Eventually, the wood is replaced by the minerals from the water and the earth. As it was wood, the stone is quite lightweight and for the amazing blue color in the stone- that is caused from the presence of copper in the rainwater and earth that covered the the trees.

The design of the Valarie necklace was inspired by vintage vibes. Entirely custructed of 18k gold, the setting was inspired by claw-foot bathtubs. It is your everyday prong setting with a twist- paying special attention to the prongs are a decorative element vs a functional element. The transition piece of the necklace is your typical Ari O flair with a couple asymmetric set diamonds and the bottom part of the chain was hand-crafted out of 18k wire making this beauty all one-of-a-kind.
